Course Details:

Our 4 day Machine Strokes and Shading course, taught by Carly Browness, is the ideal choice for starting your career on the right path. Micropigmentation (machine work) is the most effective method of permanent cosmetics. In this course we focus on the fundamentals of PMU, specializing in machine familiarity, sanitation, brow mapping and shaping, advanced brow patterning, color theory, understanding procedure steps from start to finish and much more.

This course provides each student with a full kit to take first 20 clients including rotary tattoo machine, universal needle cartridges, pigments, numbing creams and more. During the 4 days of extensive training, you will gain confidence by practicing on multiple different resources including other students, fake skin, and bananas. Our last and final day in class you will have the opportunity to work on a live model, under the supervision and guidance of your instructor. This will allow you to take all the material you have learned in class and apply it to your first brow client.

This course runs Monday- Thursday 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. We require each student to complete a bloodborne pathogen test to earn a certificate in accordance with Salt Lake County regulation. Each student will be required to pass off a hands on procedure before machine strokes certification is secured.
